Job Description
Virtusa is hiring Software Engineers for the GCP Tech Support Agent role. As a Cloud Support Agent, you will act as the first point of contact for users facing technical issues related to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Workspace. The role focuses on diagnosing technical problems, resolving common cloud infrastructure issues, monitoring cloud environments, and ensuring users receive timely support.
The selected candidates will monitor incoming support requests, categorize incidents based on severity, and troubleshoot issues using standard operating procedures and AI-assisted tools. The role also involves performing cloud health checks, analyzing system logs, and assisting users with Google Workspace administration tasks.
This position is suitable for candidates who have foundational cloud knowledge, excellent communication skills, and an interest in cloud operations and technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor incoming support tickets through Jira and ServiceNow.
- Classify incidents based on priority and technical severity.
- Assist users with Google Cloud Platform services, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and Cloud SQL.
- Handle Google Workspace administration tasks such as password resets, two-step verification recovery, and shared drive access.
- Follow documented troubleshooting procedures to resolve standard technical issues.
- Monitor Google Cloud Operations Suite for system health, CPU utilization, storage usage, and service availability.
- Analyze cloud logs to identify and troubleshoot infrastructure issues.
- Escalate complex technical problems when necessary.
- Ensure prompt issue resolution while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
